About SeniorNet SödermalmSödermalm is the southern part of central Stockholm with about 90.000 inhabitants. Some of these people have reached the age of 55 years or more (55+) and a few of them have started a local branch of SeniorNet Sweden. We try to introduce IT (and especially the Internet) to every 55+ in Södermalm interested in learning. We also arrange training sessions for those who do not quite know how to utilize their Macs or PCs for e-mail or surfing. We also run an Internet Café for thirdagers, K@nelbullen: The name means cinnamon bun, which is our pet name for the at sign, @. (It looks like a Swedish cinnamon bun, most people´s favourite bun.) The café is at Mariahissen, at the northern shore of Söder (the everyday name for Södermalm) and is open Monday - Friday between 11:00 and 15:00 SeniorNet Södermalm had about 250 members in the first spring of the 21st century. |
